Partners Break Ground on Doug Meijer Medical Innovation Building

The Health Innovation Partners – a real estate development joint venture between Rockford Construction, Walsh Construction/Walsh Investors, Murphy Development Group and Michigan State University – broke ground on the next phase of the university’s Grand Rapids Innovation Park, the Doug Meijer Medical Innovation Building, located on the northeast corner of Michigan Street and Monroe Avenue.

Sculpture Honors Grand Rapids Women Who Pioneered Whooping Cough Vaccine

The women are featured prominently at the Michigan State University Research Center, 400 Monroe Ave. NW. The sculpture, the work of Jay Hall Carpenter, fittingly faces Michigan Street – known as the Medical Mile.

Next Phase of MSU'S Grand Rapids Research and Innovation Park Moves Forward 

MSU and Health Innovation Partners, a real estate development joint venture between MB Real Estate, Walsh Construction/Walsh Investors and Rockford Construction, have signed a long-term ground lease for the continued development of the Grand Rapids Research Center site. This includes planning construction for a medical innovation building and parking structure.
